How we review
Verdict first.
Everything else is evidence.
We keep reviews short, consistent and focused on the question that actually matters: is this bottle worth buying?
The verdict comes first.
Every review starts with the answer: buy it, skip it, or wait for a better price. Everything after that is there if you want the reasoning.
Five dimensions, not fifty adjectives.
Juniper, citrus, floral, herbal and spice — each scored from 0 to 10. Enough to show you the shape of the gin without turning tasting into chemistry homework.
Price is part of the verdict.
A good gin at the wrong price can still be a bad buy. When we say a bottle is worth it, we mean worth it at roughly the price shown in the review.
Independence matters.
If a bottle is provided by a brand or retailer, we will say so clearly. Commercial relationships do not buy a verdict.
We will tell you when it is not worth it.
“Skip” is a real outcome here, not a theoretical rating we are afraid to use.
